Inspiring coastal walks
Last week we were appointed to work on our first ever Paragraph 55 project. This section of planning policy is a direct descendant of what architects call Gummer’s Law, which allows homes to be built in open countryside as long as they are “outstanding” in design. The gardens and landscaping will be a critical component of the planning application so the pressure is certainly on. Over the weekend Adam sought inspiration with a coastal walk. White cliffs, large flint pebbles, lots of water and plants thriving in their natural habitats all provide excellent stimulus to the creative process. These themes are also very apt for this project which is near the Kentish coast. Exciting times!
