It’s been nearly a month since our last blog post, mainly due to the fact it’s holiday season. This year Adam went to Tuscany in Italy. He is always on the look out for some inspiring plant action, and whilst hiking up a hill to look around the amazingly ancient fortress in Spoleto, he spotted this hardy little fig growing out the side of the solid stone castle wall. It made him think that we could & should mix a fig into one of our larger living walls next time. The majestic ‘Rocca Albornoziana’ fortress was built in 1359 –1370 by the architect Matteo Gattaponeof Gubbio for Cardinal Albornoz and is truly magnificent.
