Creating a concrete jungle
This week we got to unveil the concrete planters that we have been creating in our latest garden in Belsize Park. After months of digging, laying foundations, constructing shuttering and pouring the concrete it was an important moment. It doesn't seem to matter that we have used the same techniques a number of times before, it is always a pretty nervous moment! Would they look as good as the test piece we had created? Had the torrential rain penetrated the shuttering? Was everything perfectly square and true? Well after a pretty sleepless night we turned up on site, took down the stuttering and breathed a massive sigh of relief. They had worked, they look great, we love them. Our nerves have now turned into excitement as they are going to be amazing once we can get some planting done. Hooray for concrete!
