Choose your own path
I love a path and ‘desire’ paths are my favourite. Definition: a desire path (also known as a desire line, social trail, goat track or bootleg trail) can be a path created as a consequence of foot or bicycle traffic. The path usually represents the shortest or most easily navigated route between an origin and destination. This slim trail is part of the south coast path that winds its way from Brixham to Dartmouth and is far from an ‘easy route’. During the 3hours 33minutes and 20 seconds it took to walk the 19,205 steps to cover the 9.65 miles (new app on my phone), I found myself thinking about the Chelsea Flower Show and if I should be there instead of Devon. Was I missing out in some way. Then I rounded a corner and saw a huge bank of Foxgloves just starting to open and thought no, I’m not missing anything.
